Baton Rouge writer mxx rené creates poetry from the heart that’s good for the soul.
Known for her lullaby-smooth tone and free verse cadence, mxx rené writes music for recording artists and black girls who are still finding their voice. After years of performing spoken word, she’s deeply inspired by poets like Mereba and Noname to incorporate poetry into music.
She is now a rising figure in the music scene, adding lyrical depth to hip hop through storytelling interludes and songwriting.
